TAYLOR CABRERA

San Diego Girls Director

ABOUT ME

I began my lacrosse career as a freshman in high school while also playing field hockey and soccer. I played 4 years of varsity lacrosse at Mission Hills High school, graduating in 2014. I was the first player in program history to sign an NLI to play lacrosse at the next level. I went on to play 4 years of collegiate lacrosse and completed my Sports Administration degree with a minor in Marketing at Fort Lewis College in 2018. After graduation, I moved back to San Diego in pursuit of a job in Sports Administration. I began coaching for the Pacific Falcons club team. I was presented the opportunity to go back to where my lacrosse journey started and became the head coach at Mission Hills High School in 2018. I led the program back to the CIF Finals in my first season where we came up just short in the CIF D1 Championship. I am currently in my second year as the head coach of the UC San Diego Women’s Club Lacrosse team. I’ve been coaching the sport since starting in high school and have grown passionate about helping young athletes grow to their full potential.

I started coaching for Mad Dog in the summer of 2020. I started with the West Elite Teams and later got on board with the San Diego teams. In my first year with Mad Dog it was evident to me that this program, its coaches, players, and parents are dedicated and driven to reach success on and off the field. The passion this program has to help players unlock their full potential and take their game to the next level is unmatched. I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to continue helping young female athletes be the best version of themselves on and off the field as the San Diego Girls Director.
