Hi! My name is Matt Stagnitta and I have been a part of the Mad Dog Family for four years. I grew up in Montgomery, NJ in the central part of the state. I played football, basketball and lacrosse for Montgomery High School. I was a 2x All- American, NJ Midfielder of the Year and my team won the state championship my senior year. I graduated in 2016 and began my college career at Johns Hopkins. I played four years under Coach Pietramala and won the Big10 championship twice and made three NCAA appearances. I got my degree in sociology from Hopkins last May and decided to take a fifth year granted by the NCAA because of COVID, at Jacksonville University. It was a perfect fit because of the beach vibe and Coach Galloway has been a great mentor. I have enjoyed my role as an attackman while also getting my Master’s in Business Organizational Leadership. The combination of my experiences at the D1 level as well as my educational background provides me with a unique and fresh perspective that I am excited to bring to the Mad Dog program.
In my time with Mad Dog, I have worked with all age groups on both the national and local level. I think the balance of competitive lacrosse in a fun environment which encourages learning and growth distinguishes our club from others and makes us the best in the business. I’m looking forward to working with Maddog on a full-time basis and building on the culture of success while teaching the fundamentals, growing the game, competing at the highest level and having an awesome time! Let’s Go!
